Those who will cherish her memory are: her loving mother, Betty Ann Henderson her devoted daughter, Lyguyia Seandell Vance her beloved siblings, Angela (Dennis) Glover Dirk Henderson, Brett (Callie) Henderson “sister” Valarie Henderson loving and devoted aunt, Jo Ann Henderson aunt, Gloria Furlow also affectionately known as TT and Poonchi by her nieces and nephews: “2 nd daughter” Latonia (Gary) “son” Ricky (Andrea) Jamar, Xavius (Angel) ShaVonte (Kianta) Shamatra, Deszirae, Darius (Yolanda), Angelica (Derrick) Joshua, Janeshia, Lake (Harley), great nieces and nephews: Tionne, Kyree, Ayden, Kingston, Kayla, Malachi, Kaydence, KaTahnia (Special K), Derrick Jr., Nehemiah, Kamille, Braylon (Ms. Vanessa was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jennifer Vance, “sister” Natalie Henderson-Pettus (Phillip) and brother William (Billy Raye) Everett.Īlthough Vanessa is now resting in the arms of her beloved Jesus, her spirit will forever live in our hearts. She remained strong and was an inspiration to her family and many others. Throughout her battle, she never complained. She was an avid reader, movie enthusiast, and enjoyed Motown music. She loved singing with her daughter, Lyguyia, who she fondly called her “BBB”. She was a beacon of light in the community. Vanessa was a kind, loving, compassionate and devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt niece, cousin and friend. She served in many capacities, including the Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Financial Clerk, Youth Coordinator and Missionary Society. She continued to serve faithfully under the pastoralship of the Rev. Willie Summerss passing at the age of 68 on Tuesday, has been publicly announced by Unity Memorial Funeral Home, LLC in Fayetteville, TN. Vanessa accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and united with the West End Cumberland Presbyterian Church under the pastoralship of the late Rev. Upon graduation, Vanessa obtained employment in the fields of Nutrition and Manufacturing. She was a graduating member of the Class of 1974 at Central High School in Fayetteville, TN. She was the eldest daughter born to the late Oyama McDonald, Jr. Vanessa Dell Henderson was born on April 5, 1956.
